Genesis of My Passion

I am self-taught on an old (1933), out-of-tune piano that my church gave me.

I wrote my first real song in the sixth grade (1980).  Since I never really learned to play other people’s music (even to this day), I learned by writing my own music, which I would describe as a mixture of jazz and R & B with a splash of late 70’s/early 80’s soft rock.

The sound of my music is fueled by instruments from Yamaha, Korg and Ensoniq.

Every phrase, every note, every chord reflects my happiness, my joy and my sadness. Without any of that, my music wouldn’t be what it is, nor would I be the person that I am. My music is the sum of my tears. --Anre C Bell
