Our production schedule is moving right along! Twelve compositions from over the last 30 years are being updated and re-recorded for the debut album "Worth Waiting For". Here's why:
Even though my music doesn't have words, I still want it to tell a story. I'm not a traditional songwriter/composer/arranger. Who I am and what I'm feeling at the time is what goes into the songs. The person I was at 20 is not the person I am at 50. So, I look at the themes that I wrote about then with a different heart today.
For example, with "In Your Eyes", which I wrote back in 2002, I was in a different place mentally, physically and spiritually and it influenced the arrangement of the song. Sixteen years later when I re-recorded it, I had a new spirit in my heart and a love in my life who is my muse.
On another track for this album, "The Way You Move Me", this shift in maturity led to an entirely different ending (because the first one was written during a panic attack) and the inclusion of a bridge where there was none before. I found I could no longer relate to the story it told, so it had to be re-written to tell today's story.
Stay tuned for updates and keep your eye out for "In Your Eyes (Day Mix)" which will be released as a single this April!
Thank you for your positive thoughts and support!
